Casting Role of CLARA/ELLIE - Video Submissions

Nora Brennan Casting is working with Radio City Productions
to cast the role of CLARA/ELLIE in the
Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes

for 2024/ 2025. 

Accepting submissions now through July 21, 2024

Selected dancers will be invited by Radio City Productions to audition for the role
in-person at Radio City Music Hall. If your child is invited to audition, we will provide
your contact information to Radio City Productions so that you can
register your child for the audition.   

 

SEEKING:
 
Female child ballet dancer, must look between the ages
of 9 to 11.      

The dual role of CLARA/ELLIE will require the following:

CLARA – must have strong ballet technique with at least one year of
en pointe experience. CLARA will be required to dance, jump and
turn en pointe in the show.

ELLIE – this is a speaking role. No previous acting experience is required.

All dancers who meet the role requirements are strongly encouraged to submit a video.

PREPARE:

VIDEO SUBMISSION

We would like your child to learn two ballet combinations from the show, including one with music. They must be performed en pointe and then filmed on a camera or iPhone/Android.

In the video, please have your child start by saying their name, age, city and state. Then perform the combinations learned from the video.   

Please ensure that both videos are combined into one file (.MOV or .MP4). Name the file with your child’s name and CSSR24. (For example: JaneSmithCSSR24.mov). When filming, please hold the camera or iPhone/Android in landscape (horizontal) mode. Do not hold camera/phone vertically. Please DO NOT film in 4K; please use standard definition. 

Please upload the finished video submission to YouTube or Vimeo. For YouTube users, please make the video private and share the link with us via the email below. For Vimeo users, please password protect the video and include the password along with the video link in your email.

4. Headshot and resume (if your child has a resume) attached as a PDF, JPEG or PNG file Please keep all file sizes under 3MB.

IMPORTANT
INFORMATION

Your child will need a parent or guardian to accompany them to Radio City Music Hall at their scheduled time. If your child receives an offer for a role in the show, they will be offered a personal services contract with Radio City Productions LLC (which must be executed by their parent or legal guardian), and they will need to become a member of AGVA within 31 days of employment. The role will be triple cast.  

The child must have a valid New York State work permit and be legally authorized to work in the US and accept employment if it is offered by the Company. If your child is hired, you must provide the New York State work permit and evidence of such authorization in accordance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. If hired, your child will also be required to have a trust account in accordance with New York law. 

Terms of employment range from September to early January.

No travel or housing is provided for the performers of the show.

Current Weekly Base Rate (per union contract): $2,496.96
• This rate does not include the additional wages and benefits outlined  below.

Anticipated run of rehearsals plus performances will be approximately 13 weeks.

Additional Benefits and Compensation Opportunities: 

• Additional compensation above base rate is provided based on the AGVA union contract and includes additional weekly performances; multi-performance days; and performances on select holidays
• Additional compensation for any ancillary performances and appearances outside of the show schedule
• Year-round health insurance
• The Company contributes a percentage of each performer’s earnings to a 401(k) plan for each of the performers; performers are not required to contribute to receive this benefit
